I am sure this is starting to get pretty redundant, but I have a naughty toddler who fights me tooth and nail when it comes to bedtimes! She was such a good sleeper when she was a baby, but then she figured out she could get out of bed and didn't have to just stay there. There have been many, many tears these last few months for naptimes and bedtimes. This night she was being very obstinate and refused to stay in her bed. I stood at her door and held the door closed until she realized she wasn't going to win this game. However, she insisted on having the last word. She plopped herself down in the middle of the floor with a scowl on her face and holding her blankie. I was fine with this, as long as she stayed in her room. I checked on her later and found that she had emptied the little ottoman of all the stuffed animals and climbed in. Then she fell asleep in it! It was so funny. Her head was rolling around trying to find a place to rest.

Winter Wonderland
My brother, Robert, was sealed to his wonderful wife, KayDee, this weekend in the Manti Temple. We made a quick trip to be their with them on their special day. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of that event. :o( We had a lot of fun, though, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. For dinner, I made a St.Patrick's Day dinner for everyone, with a lot of my mom's help! We had corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots. To drink, we had leprechaun floats (lime sherbet and sprite). It was all very delicious! I didn't take any pictures of this, either. :o( Sunday morning, we woke up to this scene outside:
It was very beautiful, but not exactly what I had in mind for our long drive home! Kensley was so excited she could hardly handle it. She came running in the bedroom bright and early squealing with delight at the snow and couldn't wait to head outside to build a snowman. We, of course, weren't quite prepared for snow even though we knew it was coming. We just don't have many opportunities for snow living in Mesa and so we don't have any snow clothes. Church was in the morning, so Kensley went out in her Church clothes. I love this picture of her.
Since we didn't have snow clothes, we had to make due with what we had. Poor Pyper only had a little hoodie sweater and we put socks on her hands to try and keep them warm. It didn't work for long.
She came in the house crying because she was so cold, but wanted to help build a snowman so bad! The snowman was scrapped fairly quickly because no one involved had gloves and it was just too cold!
Robert has the cutest house and the best backyard ever! The kids' favorite thing, is this loft by the kitchen and they spent a majority of their time playing in it. It is a little scary for me with Pyper because there is just a big whole to drop out of, but she wanted to be part of the fun so bad. Kensley slept up there every night with the other kids.

Relief Society Birthday Party
I was on the committee to organize the Relief Society birthday party activity. We went with a Princess theme, Princesses: Daughter of a Heavenly King. We had wands and tiaras for everyone. For refreshments, I made princess cupcakes and we also had a fruit pizza bar where everyone could make there own individual pizza with sugar cookies. It was really yummy and a great idea if I do say so myself. I made the centerpieces with mason jars and epsom salts with pink food coloring and mod podge. Then, we put a battery operated tea light in each one. All my contributions were ripped off from others who posted their great ideas on the Interent. We also had the young women sing "Daughter of a King" as part of the program. I thought it turned out well and everyone seemed to be having fun.
Each table was named after a former Relief Society President and we had a trivia game based on the new Daughters of the Kingdom book we got this year.

Still Naughty!
I forgot to move the ladder after Kensley went to bed last night. So, I found Pyper asleep in her bed when I checked on them. At least they were sleeping this time!
