Seriously Naughty!
Last night I went grocery shopping shortly after putting the kids to bed for the night. When I got home, it was close to 10PM and I asked Stephen if Pyper ever got out of bed. He said that she got up several times, but it had been about 20 minutes since he had heard anything from her. Hoping she was asleep, I went into the kitchen to unload my groceries. I saw this shadow on the bottom stair:
Tonight, Pyper was being her usual stinker self and refusing to stay in bed. I am not really sure what we are going to do with this girl! I put her back in bed 3 or 4 times and eventually stopped hearing any noises coming from her. Stephen came home and I asked him if she was asleep in the kitchen. He said he didn't see her. A little later, I went and checked on the stairs and didn't see her so I assumed she had gone back to bed. Eventually, I went upstairs to check on her and she wasn't in her bed! So, I checked my bed and she wasn't there, either! Then, I checked the stairs and kitchen again in case I had missed her and no Pyper! I told Stephen I couldn't find her and he said, "Really?!" Yes, really! So he joined in the search and said to check our bedroom closet. No Pyper! We looked in the bathrooms, under beds, under the kitchen table, but no Pyper. Our house is pretty small and there aren't really many places for her to hide, but we couldn't find her anywhere. While Stephen was still looking in all the same places again upstairs, I went downstairs for another look and FINALLY found her in the pantry! I am not sure why she would rather sleep on the pantry floor instead of her own bed!
Yes, I am aware that my pantry needs some organization.

Happy Easter
I have to be honest, I have been really irritated with how much Easter is becoming just like Christmas. What is the deal with all the presents?! Easter basket with eggs and candy...I thought that was it. So, I bought small baskets from the $1 store and put a small amount of candy in it. I added a little ping pong paddle toy for .97 cents and by accident I came across Strawberry Shortcake movies for $3.99. My kids have been obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake so I decided why not? I bought their Easter dresses almost a year ago. I got them on clearance at Kohl's the day after Easter and also had a 30% off coupon. They have been hanging in my closet ever since. As a side note, I bought Pyper's dress for next year yesterday at Kohl's for a little over $6, original price $56!
For Easter breakfast we had Eggs Golden Rod, a new tradition we started a couple years ago to use all the hard boiled eggs.
Pyper spent the morning lounging on the couch enjoying her spoils.
Then we headed to church in their new outfits!
For dinner we had ham with plum sauce, yummy carrots and cheesy potatoes with Martinelli's to wash it down. No pictures. :o(

Snug as a Bug in a Rug!
I often find Kensley and Pyper tucked under the rug while watching TV. They are weird. It is cute, though, when they snuggle in together and get comfortable.
Easter BBQ
Me and Stephen and the kids went to a bbq this afternoon with some old friends from our single ward days. It was a lot of fun to catch up and visit and let the kids play. I made these little Easter basket treats for the event.
They are made from chocolate cookies cooked in a muffin tin. Then frosted with frosting dyed green and coconut also dyed green. Then the jelly beans. Simple and cute. I also had some strawberries in my fridge so decided to make the chocolate covered strawberries I saw on Pinterest that made them look like carrots. It sort of worked.
The lumpy looking ones I made with almond bark. Didn't really work. So, I dug in my cupboards and found white chocolate that I melted and that was way better. They look like carrots, right? They tasted good, anyway.

Easter Eggs
I don't really enjoy the whole dyeing of Easter eggs, but Kensley does. We finally busted out the supplies tonight and let them have at it. We had a stupid glitter egg kit that was messy and a big fat pain. Stephen dumped the glitter in the trash before all the eggs were decorated! The kids had fun, though. :o)

Field Festival
Kensley's school had a carnival type event as a fundraiser. Kensley had a lot of fun and I was impressed with all the things she tried and had fun with. She is a big scaredy-cat so I didn't think she would want to do any of the big things. She was scared at first, but finally pushed through it and had a great time. Her favorite was this trampoline contraption thing. We had to wait in line for almost an hour! She kept wanting to do it again, but there was no way I was going to stand in that stupid line again!
She even braved the rock wall which totally surprised me. She made it about halfway before she got scared and wouldn't go any further. She tried it a second time later that night and made it a little further, but still couldn't make it to ring the bell. Not bad for her first time on a rock wall, though.

Easter Egg Hunt
Some people from my ward got together today for an Easter egg hunt for all our kids not in school. Pyper had a great time and knew just what to do! She squealed with delight when she opened her first egg and discovered candy. I asked what she had in her egg and she yelled, "Snacks!"
