Little Miss Chubs
Pyper had her four-month well check visit at the doctor today. I no longer have a little tiny preemie baby. That part has been pretty obvious for a while now but it was confirmed today. She is actually on the charts now for the first time. She was 13 lbs 2 oz which puts her in the 40th percentile for weight. She was 23 inches long and in the 11th percentile for height. Her head circumference is 41 cm and in the 53rd percentile. So, still a bit small for her age, but totally catching up. At previous appointments she wasn't even on the chart at all. On a sidenote, my breast pump just kicked the bucket today and I am unwilling to buy a new one. So, my only options are to either let my milk dry up or force her to nurse...I will try the nursing route and see how it goes. She gets a little mad at me when I try to nurse and definitely prefers a bottle so we will see how it goes. Looking at the bright side of things, it will save me time not having to pump every 2 1/2 hrs all day every day to try and keep up my milk supply.
