Gila Valley Temple
Back in April, we drove to the Gila Valley Temple open house. It just so happens tha we picked the coldest day EVER to go! It was so windy and freezing, we couldn't get any good pictures. It was torture to stand outside. To start of the tour, they played a video in the Stake Center right next to the temple about temples. When it was over, we walked over to the Temple in a group. Kensley hadn't seen the temple yet, and when we walked outside she exclaimed, "Look! A temple! Just like in the movie!" We kept telling her the temple was Jesus' house to try and make her reverent. She would then get very distraught because Jesus was dead and would ask "Did he come back alive?" Her version of the resurrection. We were in a sealing room and she started knocking on the floor and asking if Jesus was under the carpet. Afterwards, we got something to eat and some ice cream cones and then had to make an emergency stop on the side of the road for Kensley to throw up. Thankfully, it all ended up in an empty cup and not in the car!
